We call them saints, but not every one of the figures looking at us from the walls of the cloister was honored with canonization. We also have here those who have been recognized as blessed by the Catholic Church, but also those whose worship has never been approved and those who today no longer receive worship. Many of them are somewhat forgotten today, and our biographies are a valuable scholarly study about times and people who have long since passed away.
