More or less half of the figures whose images you can see on the walls of the monastery cloisters were active in the 13th century, which is probably the most important century for the Dominicans. After all, it was in 1216 that St. Dominic Guzmán founded the order. So, from the azulejos tiles, mainly those who shaped the order look at us, but not only. The oldest among the figures immortalized is St. Catherine of Alexandria (3rd/4th century), and the youngest died in 1645, St. Jan Macías.
